Application for ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam, Academic Year 2019

Applications are now open for the ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam, Academic Year 2019.

        The ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced (GCE A-Level) (or equivalent) certificate.  The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary 3 to Pre-University 2.  The Scholarship will provide annual allowance with hostel accommodation; settling-in allowance; return economy class air passage; coverage of school fees and GCE O-Level and A-Level examination fees; subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover.

        Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the scholarship:

  • Nationals of Vietnam

  • Born between 2002 to 2004

  • Completed at least Grade 8 of Lower Secondary Education

  • Have done consistently well in their school examinations

  • Proficiency in English and a good record of participation in co-curricular activities

        Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply online at the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) website (https://www.moe.gov.sg/financial-matters/awards-scholarships/asean-scholarship/vietnam) by 12 April 2018, 10.00 pm Vietnam time.  If they are unable to apply online, they are required to submit the hard copy application form, together with certified copies of the supporting documents, directly to the Singapore MOE before the closing date of 12 April 2018 at the following address:

        There are 2 modes of application – online and hardcopy application. Please submit your application through only one mode.

        Applicants may also obtain the hardcopy forms from the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Hanoi. Applicants who wish to seek the Embassy’s assistance in forwarding the completed hard copy application forms to Singapore MOE should submit directly to the Embassy (not through the Ministry of Education and Training or local Departments of Education and Training) before 2 April 2018 at the following address:
