Application for ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam Academic Year 2024


Calling all Vietnamese high school students currently in Grades 8 to 10!  Are you looking for an exciting educational opportunity to study in Singapore?

               The ASEAN Scholarship programme is administered by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Singapore.  The Scholarships aim to create opportunities for outstanding young people from ASEAN countries to broaden their horizons and develop their potential as well as equip them with important skills such as leadership, communication and other life skills.  ASEAN scholars can also help to promote goodwill and understanding amongst young people from different countries and Singapore.

               The ASEAN Scholarship for Vietnam is valid for four years for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two leading to the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) or similar qualification.  The Scholarship will provide an annual allowance with hostel accommodation; settling-in allowance; return economy class airfare; school fees; examination fees for GCE O-Level and A-Level (once only, if applicable); subsidised medical benefits and insurance coverage for accidents.

Interested students who meet the following eligibility criteria are strongly encouraged to apply online at the SingaporeeMinistry of Education (MOE) URL: https://go.gov.sg/moe-asean-scholarships-vietnam by 26 April 2023.

  • Are nationals of Vietnam;

  • Are born between 2 January 2007 and 1 January 2010;

  • Are proficient in English;

  • Currently in Grade 8, 9 or 10;

  • Have done consistently well in their examinations; and

  • Have a good record of participation in co-curricular activities.

Please note that there will be no hard copy applications and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Singapore will only accept online applications.  You may wish to check their website for more information on the application procedures, test dates and other important updated notices.

Please note that the system cannot be accessed from:

  • 4 March 2023 (Saturday) 2pm to 5 March 2023 (Sunday) 2pm

  • 1 April 2023 (Saturday) 2pm to 2 April 2023 (Sunday) 2pm
