Closure of the Singapore Embassy in Hanoi on 27 April, 30 April and 1 May 2026
24 April 2026
A concise summary of the main points regarding this article.
The Embassy will be closed on 27 April, 30 April and 1 May 2026 during the upcoming public holidays in Vietnam, specifically Hung King’s Festival Day, Reunification Day and International Labour Day. We will be operating as per normal from 28 to 29 April and from 4 May 2026 onwards.
Please note that the Vietnam government offices will also be closed on 27 April, 30 April and 1 May 2026. For cases of lost passports, the Embassy will issue new Documents of Identity (DOI) for applicants’ return to Singapore when we resume operations from 28 to 29 April and from 4 May 2026 onwards. This is given that foreign visitors who lose their passports will need to apply for an exit permit with the Vietnam Immigration Office with their DOI to exit Vietnam. Please note that the Vietnam Immigration Office’s processing time for exit permit applications is at least 5 working days. All Vietnam government offices, including the Immigration Office, will only be open from 28 to 29 April and from 4 May 2026 onwards.
