Application for ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam, Academic Year 2018

        Applications are now open for the ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam, Academic Year 2018. 


        The ASEAN Scholarships are granted by the Singapore Government to provide opportunities for the young people of ASEAN to develop their potential and equip them with important skills for the 21st century.  The ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced (GCE A-Level).  The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two.  The Scholarship will provide annual allowance of S$2,200 (Secondary) / S$2,400 (Pre-University) with hostel accommodation; settling-in allowance of S$400; return economy class air passage; coverage of school fees and GCE O-Level and A-Level examination fees; subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover.


        Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the scholarship:


  • Nationals of Vietnam

  • Born between 2001 to 2003

  • Completed certificate of Lower Secondary Education

  • Have done consistently well in their school examinations

  • Proficiency in English and a good record of participation in co-curricular activities


        Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply online at the Singapore MOE website 

(https://www.moe.gov.sg/financial-matters/awards-scholarships/asean-scholarship/vietnam) by 14 April 2017, 10.00 pm Vietnam time.  For applicants who are unable to apply online, they can send the hard copy applications directly to the Singapore MOE.  You may wish to check the above Singapore MOE website for more information on the application procedures, test dates and other important notice.
